Missing You on Your Birthday

Dearest honey,

I didn’t realised that the last letter was also for your birthday, but exactly a year ago. Oh my, that’s a very long while ago. Either the year passed by really fast, or the letters are taking too long to deliver, haha! Remember also that the site got a blackout for half a year before it got restored. But excuses aside, I’m sorry for being such a slob in writing new letters, really.

The card is going to arrive late this year, and I hope you’ll like it. :) I wanted to send some “stuff” over, but I think it’ll be better sending them all during Christmas. So, at least that should keep you in suspense for awhile.

Argh, things are getting really hectic over here. And, it couldn’t been the worst timing when I’m starting to miss you really a lot right now. Classes are all over the place this term (bad timetable for me), research needs an idea, and mountain loads of paperwork. Yea, there’s things to keep my occupied. Concerts had been different without your company. I don’t really go out, except when Kelvin says there’s something nice to watch. :) Terry’s fully recovered now and I think he’s itching to play tennis soon. I also had other things to give me some variety off the routine cycle and keep me occupied, but it’s really different without you here. I miss you really badly.

Not sure if you’re following Malaysian news closely. There’s a lot of incomprehendable nonsense these days. At the same time, I’m glad that the media is opening up, making room for more independency. Sigh, depressing really. Doesn’t feel safe with a black cloud over your head. But I won’t grumble about that further, it’s far too good a day to spoil it. :)

Happy birthday! Hope you have a nice birthDAY in Bolzano. At least you are not totally alone over there. I’m sure those fellas will take care of you also. I’m sure Father Greg takes good care of you as well.
