Shooting Fireworks

John and I were in Putrajaya the other day, to watch the Malaysian International Fireworks Competitions. Both of us quickly seized the opportunity to test out our photo taking skills. What I can tell you is, shooting fireworks is really challenging, especially with manual settings.

I used the Multiple-Shots feature to take the progression of a yellow-coloured spark.

hey mei sin, a tip for you. Try to up the Aperture to maybe 10 or 14, then lower the ISO to the lowest possible, and adjust the shutter to long exposure mode, say maybe 5 second? Of course, you will need to mount the cam to a tripod to do this shot. result will be pleasing. =)
