A new chapter of my life..

I turn 25 today. I would consider it as a major milestone in my life, moreover 25 is a quarter of a century, the silver jubilee!!

Honestly, I am feeling kind of indifferent towards turning 25. Perhaps I have outgrown the phase where I look forward to being a grown up, nor am I worried about getting old and over the hill.

Looking back at these 25 years of my life, they were ups and downs, tears and joy, failure and success…. out of all these, I see the hand of God working in my life, and the lives of others around me.

Presents? Nothing is more previous to me than your valuable friendship. Checked my mail box early this morning, I see so many birthday greetings posted in friendster. Well guys, those messages really made my day =).

Achievements? Did you know that, at the same age, my mom was already married and a few months pregnant with me!! I told her today that I can’t believe I am 25, she just said “Believe it”!

Celebration? No body here in Vienna knew that my birthday is on the 22nd Nov, but I had some sort of a celebration. My cell group celebrated Thanksgiving (the American way), and we had a feast, with traditional thanksgiving meal eg: turkey, cranberry sauce, turkey stuffing, soup, and dessert – pumpkin pie, apple pie and pumpkin bread. I personally learned a great deal about being thankful, not just for big answered prayers, but even for little details, like having a new found community to spend my birthday with, having turkey stuffing and pumpkin pie for the first time on my birthday….. All these little things counts, and I am truly thankful for them.

Well, I am officially 25 now. It’s a new chapter of my life. I bravely embrace the future, as I do not need to worry what tomorrow holds, for I know the One who holds my tomorrow…...
