A Home away from home

I feel so blessed to have a home away from home, a place where I can celebrate Christmas. I was invited over to Bianca and Petra’s place for Christmas eve dinner and a stay over after that.

It was really wonderful to learn how people celebrate Christmas through different family traditions.

As always, the food was fantastic! We ate to our heart’s content, stuffing ourselves with turkey, turkey stuffing, ham, salad, roast potatoes, wanton, stuffed mushroom, cherry pie…. We were all in our pajamas, it was the theme of the night. We though it would be fun to do something different -> celebrating Christmas eve in our “jamies”, since it has always been a tradition to be well dressed in such an occasion. Good thinking, it was really comfortable!

Isn’t it amazing how the Lord provides?! Being away from home, alone in a foreign land, He has given me good friends, and a big family of God.

I can’t believe this is the 2nd year in a row not celebrating Christmas with you guys back home. Next year I’ll definitely be there!!

Merry Christmas everyone! =)

The picture you show is very delicious. This Christmas, I was invited to a “Ang Mo” missionary’s house for a dinner. It was very nice. He prepared many tasty pies, Sweedish meatballs, mouth watering desserts….. Just like the picture you show. I’m sure you have a good christmas this time. As for me, I did have a good christmas celebration. Merry Christmas and Happy Boxing day.
