A Tribute to Alliance Bank
25 September 2006, 13:52

I have refrained myself from writing a cliché goodbye message, because practically it has become a ritual for those leaving the bank. I’ve decided to do something different…...I‘ve decided to write a blog entry instead.
Alliance Bank is the only company I’ve worked in after my graduation. I cannot out rightly comment about working in Alliance Bank, simply because I have never worked in other companies before, so couldn‘t make any comparison. One thing’s for sure, I enjoyed working there…. The Information System Dept. especially has a very wholesome feeling to it….. it has an array of colleagues who gave me all sorts of advice: ranging from birth control, child care, baking, gardening, cooking….. (“wholesome” aint it? =p).
I realize that I spent my more time in my office than in my rented room. For the past two years I have been going dutifully to office every weekday, except for annual leaves and medical leaves of course. So you can imagine what impact it will have on me when I suddenly break this habit of not going to JRC anymore.
I think I’ve already said to many of you, but here it is again, “I am going to miss you guys terribly!”. Though it might have been a very short stay, only 2 years and 4 months, nevertheless, it’s with heavy heart I leave…....
Now every corner i turn, every familiar object I see, I am reminded of wonderful colleagues in Alliance Bank.

Have a blessed time in Italy, okay. Will surely miss having u arnd. This short journey of urs in Alliance did make a different! In fact, your daily bread started as a sceptism to me, but it has become a source of encouragement to me everyday. It has grown in it’s network too. Good job! Well, may the Lord blesses u, keeps u & shines His face upon u & gives u His peace. Bon Voyage, Mei Sin!

Hey, in my hostel, there’s a cleaner who comes every monday to clean up my room… so dun worry..the situation is still under control.
Hey…how’s my god mother? Please send my regards to her… missing her too.
Hey u’ve been working for 24 years (my age**) now…. so u have been used to it….so dun complain!! hahhaa…Anyway, take care and happy working.
