Goodbye year 2006!
2 January 2007, 01:45

I still remember vividly how i celebrated the new year for 2006! I was in church, attending Watch Night service. It’s not the typical sort of new year party where there’s music and dance, but I prefer it that way, celebrating New Year in church, thanking God for His providence in the past year and dedicating the new year to Him.
When I celebrated new year for 2006, little did I know that i would end up in Europe by the end of the year. 2006 for me is like a roller coaster ride! For starters, I was transfered to the Credit Card division, which I didn’t have any prior knowledge in. There was an overwhelming load of things to learn, while I juggled between cell group, bible study and church duty. Then came the offer to study Computational Logic in Bolzano, Italy, and the tough decision whether or not to accept it.
It was a tiring year, the first half was spent toiling in the office, while the last quarter of the year was spent preparing for my studies. Within a short period of time, I had to prepare winter clothes, luggage, visa, passport, travelling documents, clothes, stationaries…......was really a nightmare. From hindsight, I thank God for sustaining me through this whole year. I thank also all those of you who loved me, cared and prayed for me, and encouraged me during the difficult times.
I believe that He has great things installed for all of us in 2007. Here’s a nice article by Kevin, ” Lifting the Cup – A Toast to Life!”.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
How was your 2006?
